Arik sailed across the atlantic ocean from California, to a new land filled with wonder and Hand Brotchen; Germany. It was here where he crossed paths with Christoph, a good German boy from Dresden. The two traveled to lands near and far, when they came across a great ocean, known as the “Baltic Sea”. It was here they caught and gutted their first fish together, drank their first mulled wine together, and learned that the 7 seas are both made of beauty, and peril. It was through this peril that something was born, something hidden deep inside their bones…
By the holy god of rock and roll himself, Arik and Christoph created something magnificent, a sound for the generations past present and future: Sex Rock.
Combining Christophs affinity for garage rock, and Ariks affinity for funk and hip-hop, ELECTRIC TURTLES is an explosive melting pot from 2 different sides of the world.

They take you on a ride of a lifetime, from the laid back / aggressive hip-hop & garage rock “The Takedown”, to the dark and mysterious “Wasteland.” Melodies, syncopations, lyrics and all, ELECTRIC TURTLES hits every corner of your soul.
Es begab sich, dass Arik über den atlantischen Ozean segelte. Der verheißungsvolle Ruf eines geheimnisvollen Landes zog ihn in die Ferne. Ein Land voller Wunder und Bratwurstbuden: Deutschland.
Und so kam es, dass er in diesem so wunderlichen Land Chris kennenlernte, einen guten Jungen aus Dresden. Seit sich ihre Wege kreuzten, reisten die beiden gemeinsam in das Nahe und das Ferne.
An den grauen Gewässern der Ostsee geschah im Winter 2016 ein Wunder. Arik und Chris begriffen, dass alles in der Welt aus Schönheit und Leichtigkeit gemacht ist. Tief in sich spürten sie, dass diese Elemente auch in ihnen schlummerten. Von da an loderte in ihnen eine Flamme, die nie wieder erlöschen sollte - Musik.
ELECTRIC TURTLES sind ein Rockduo aus San Francisco und Leipzig.
Und so verschmolzen zwei Pole, die viel zu lange getrennt waren: Chris’ Liebe zu Garage Rock und Ariks Passion für Funk & Hip Hop. Das ist es, was ELECTRIC TURTLES zu einer fast religiösen Erfahrung macht. Wenn dein Kopf sich nicht bewegt, deine Füße nicht tanzen, deine Knie nicht weich werden dann, nunja - dann bist du wohl im falschen Club gelandet und ELECTRIC TURTLES spielen eine Tür weiter.
